Saturday, October 15

Friday night was Formal night.

Matt and I got up early and went to the gym. They had a bad ass sauna and whirlpool as well as a shit ton of equipment and weights. They also had an outdoor jogging track that was on the top deck. It was so freaking cool.

Next we had a quick breakfast at the buffet on the Lido deck. Yeah, life is tough on the ship! LOL

The group had to have a meeting on Friday morning, you know, they had to pretend to work a little bit! Sorry, but it was bright in the Rhapsody in Blue room! (I went to a shopping seminar while this was going on!)

Here is the view out of our window this afternoon.

Me pretending to be a diva as the sun set.

Sheri and Jakara at dinner

Paulette and Kathy (aren't they cute?)

Dave and Nancy

Matt and I (we clean up nicely, don't we?????)

We have some professional shots from this evening. As soon as Matt scans them in, I will add them.

Hmmm...our mystery animal. Kind of seems like a monkey...until you see the way a money is really supposed to look. We got the book on towel folding, so expect them on your bed if you visit my place!!!!

This was a "fun day at sea" so we just cruised along. There was a cocktail party where you could meet the captain before dinner and then there was a Vegas style review after dinner. Then there was a comic from New York. It was a lot of fun, but we were pooped. There were a couple of night clubs, but we opted out. We can go to a club any night, but how often can you lie in bed and look out at the ocean?

Bliss.

Our fantastic voyage...Day one

Well we are home safe and sound!

Here's my photo journal. There are some other photos, but I need to get them scanned in so they may be a while. Whatever! It's not like you care!! :P

We left early in the morning on Thursday, October 6, 2005.
Yeah, I got a bunch of cruise clothes! Just wait, there's more!

As you can tell, Matt is a real morning person.

After we got through the boarding stuff, we got to see our rooms.

Jakara (I hope that is spelled right!!!!) and Sheri were next door on our left and Kathy and Paulette were on the right. (Dave and Nancy were 2 doors down.)

This is a shot of our place from the hallway.

Next we had our safety drill. We had muster station D.

Don't we look cute in our life vests?

Dave and Nancy are old hands at the safety drill.

Here is our view from the muster station.

The skies started to get dark as we were sailing away.

Good thing we were sailing into the sun.

Pretty soon we were going under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Our cruise director, Chris, told us that the smoke stack comes within 15' of the bridge. EAK!

Paulette and Kathy at dinner the first night.

Sheri and Jakara. We all ate in the Mardi Gras dining room. We had the late seating.

While we were at dinner our cabin steward, Wency, turned down our beds and made these cute little towel animals. This is a lobster, can ya tell??

Okay well tomorrow is another day and I will post it soon.

OH YES IT WAS EVER SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, October 5

It's time for the cruise!!!!!

HOORAY!!!!
It's time to leave for the cruise! Tomorrow morning we are getting up bright and early to drive to Tampa and leave on the Inspiration!

Isn't she a beatuy?
Here is the interior of our stateroom. We have a picture window!

heh heh can you tell I am excited? Maybe just a little.

We are going to Cozumel, Mexico.

We'll be back on Monday afternoon.

Matt and I haven't decided yet, but we think we are going to take a shore excursion that is horseback riding to some Myan ruins. Sounds like fun to me! We have some other choices, like ATVing to a private beach and kyaking to Passion Island OR going on a submarine to this underwater excavation site. COOL! Who knows what we will actually do. But no matter what...it will be AWESOME!

Okay well Matt has to go to work and he needs his computer so I am outta here.

We will take lots of pictures!

Love ya, everybody!!!!!!!!

October already?

Ohhh I do love Halloween. It is for sure my favorite holiday. I think I used to love it as a kid strictly for the candy, but as I got older I began to appreciate the cool costumes and the whole idea of being someone else for the night. I know whodathunkit? A grrrl who works in the theatre likes to pretend to be someone else. No stretch there, but still.... I just think it is so much fun and so magical. The one night of the year when you can just cut loose.

I read a thing on MSNBC that said Halloween is out and a new thing is in. It's called "Falloween." I think it’s just so the candy and greeting card industries can have more stuff to sell, but it’s all good to me since its more Halloween time.

No, I didn't make it up:
Falloween (fawl.oh.WEEN) n. An extended celebration or observance of Halloween, often beginning several weeks before the day; the retail season that extends from the beginning of fall through Halloween and Thanksgiving in the U.S..

Here is some interesting info I found on wordspy....
This term unites the words fall and Halloween to recognize the lengths to which many people now go to celebrate the latter. (I think most people know the origin of Halloween. Just in case, it was originally Hallow-e'en or Hallowe'en, a contraction of All-Hallow-Even, the night before All Hallows Day — now All Saints Day — which is November 1.) If you saw houses bedecked with pumpkins and skulls and cobwebs a couple of weeks ago, then you know those people are fully immersed in the Falloween thing.

I don’t care what it is called, I just like to celebrate and hand out candy and go to costume parties and eat cool treats. Can you imagine how cute my 7 year old step-daughter is as a PRINCESS???? Yeah, she rocks.

I think I actually get to go to a costume party this year. Jamie M. said she was thinking about having one at the Festival. Oooch I hope she does, but I have no idea what to wear. Frankly, I left all my costume stuff in Cedar City, UT. Because we always have the Superhero party and I guess I bring new stuff in the hopes that I will figure out a new costume....

But I digress....

I know the celebration we have now is nothing like the original. I know that people used to "celebrate" by leaving out offerings for the dead and by putting stuff on their houses to ward off the evil spirits.

Right now I sort of feel like I am an evil spirit. Maybe I am.....

DO you know this costs $60??!!!??!?!?!?! Ohh I want to go, but good goddess who can afford such prices???? Well I guess lots of people who make more money than me (just about everyone does!).

So if you happen to somehow have some extra tickets (that have ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR), I would love to have 2.

>;)

Told you I was feeling evil.

NOW IT IS TIME TO DECORATE THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, September 29

I am not cut out to be a housewife.

What is up with Friendster being so freakin' slow? I swear they are doing maintenance every single day now and I can still never get around. Oh... it’s not that. I'm just frustrated. I am stuck home all day with no internet and all my pals working. I'm just bored. I can only spend so much time exercising and I can only wash so many clothes..... The most exciting thing I do these days is decide what I am going to make for dinner.

Well it only took 3 weeks this time before I am climbing the walls. I like having breaks between shows, but this is just too long. We have no money so I can't really enjoy my time off because I am worried that we will go over budget. Matt has picked up a part time job on the weekends and he thinks that gives him license to spend. I am pulling in a whopping $209 a week on unemployment and feel bad if I buy an iced coffee. I do not understand people who spend money recklessly. I mean, I am not saying you have to be a hermit or anything, but if you don't have enough money to buy something DON'T BUY IT!!!! That's just MHO, of course.

This is hard because I would like to get a lot of things off my chest, but too many people read this for me to feel comfortable. I'm not saying I don't love you guys, but apparently I need to say embarrassing things, however - I just can't get over it and write them. Silly, I know, but true true true.

I am not happy. I will just leave it at that.
